Whether it’s a stiff neck, tight shoulders, a recent flare-up or pain that keeps coming back, acupuncture can help you move more comfortably and get back to your everyday life.

NECK & SHOULDER PAIN CAN SHOW UP IN DIFFERENT WAYS

Neck and shoulder pain can show up as stiffness, aching, tight muscles or a sharp catch when you turn your head or move your arm.

You might notice it after working at a computer, driving, sleeping awkwardly, exercising, or during a particularly stressful or busy stretch.

Does this sound familiar?

Neck & shoulder pain I commonly see:

• Neck pain and stiffness
• Tight, aching shoulders
• Pain when turning your head

• Pain after sitting or working at a computer
• Recurring neck or shoulder flare-ups
• Muscle tension through the neck and upper back

HOW ACUPUNCTURE MAY HELP

A different way to approach neck & shoulder pain.

When your neck or shoulders are already sore, tight or sensitive, I often use acupuncture points away from where you’re hurting, so I don’t necessarily need to needle directly into the painful area.

Because the painful area is left free, you may notice pain easing or movement opening up while the needles are still in.

At the end of each treatment, I’ll check your pain and movement again. The changes I see help guide your next treatment.

IS ACUPUNCTURE RIGHT FOR YOUR NECK & SHOULDER PAIN?

You don’t have to wait until it gets really bad.

Some people come in after waking up with a stiff neck or a sudden flare-up. Others have been living with tight, achy or temperamental neck and shoulders for months — or even years.

Acupuncture may be worth considering if the pain keeps returning, limits how comfortably you move, or is starting to get in the way of work, sleep, exercise or the things you enjoy.
